We are the Shreeve family. By sharing with you a little about us, we hope to bring you comfort and peace of mind as you consider us as possible parents for your baby. We are grateful to you for considering adoption and admire your courage and strength during this important time in your life.
We first met in third grade, in a small country town, where our families lived
only a few miles apart. In high school, our love story began. Steve was the
captain of the championship football team and Kim was an enthusiastic
cheerleader. We were each other's first date when we turned sixteen and have
been together ever since.
We have now been married for ten years. Being parents is very important to
us and we have always dreamed of having a large family. Three times, we have
been blessed by open adoption. Our daughter Summer Noel is six, our son
Sailor Reagan is three, and our son Soldier Brigham is two. We look forward
to having another baby in our arms to cuddle and nurture. In addition to our
unconditional love, we have many things to offer a child: a happy home, a
peaceful environment, emotional stability, and opportunities to explore and
develop talents.
Kim is the best mom! Her days are filled with dance and gymnastics classes,
walks to the park, building blocks, play-dough, and coloring. Kim is a
former dance instructor who ran her own studio for many years. Later, Kim
worked as a high school cheerleading coach, where her special ability to
relate to teens made her universally respected and loved by all. She loves
being a stay at home mom and enjoys crafts, exercising, and scrap
booking in her spare time.
Steve is the greatest "Daddy"! He has a fun and charismatic way with kids,
who are drawn to his energy and excitement. Steve works in healthcare,
combining his medical, business, and engineering degrees. He is the founder
of a medical software company and is fortunate to be able to work from
home. He also lived in Argentina for two years and is fluent in Spanish.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys computers, music, sports, and fishing with
the kids.
Summer has blossomed into a sweet, smart, and spunky little girl who has
captured our hearts and brought us immeasurable joy. She is quite the star
in her gymnastic and dance classes, where she is able to show off her
boundless energy! Her days are filled with bike rides, swimming, reading,
singing, and playing with her little brothers. Summer is a very caring,
loving, and protective big sister.
Sailor is an athletic, adventurous, and adorable little boy whose contagious
smile fills our hearts and home with happiness. He has a very outgoing
personality and loves to be with people. Some of his favorite things include
going out for ice cream, coloring, kicking his soccer ball, chewing gum, and
splashing in the waves at the beach. He loves his big sister and little
brother so much and will be thrilled to have another little sibling!
Soldier is a cute, cuddly, and curious little guy whose jovial laugh
brightens our home and melts our hearts. He is an inquisitive little toddler
with a friendly and happy disposition. He has learned to swim like a champ
and climb like a chimp! He loves his nightly popsicle in the bathtub and is
proud of his ability to keep up with his big sister and brother. He loves
babies and will be a great big brother!
As a couple, our lifelong friendship and love for each other has helped make
our relationship rock solid. Now, as a family, we love playing at the park,
watching Disney movies, playing with the puppies, fishing in our pond, and
reading bedtime stories. We also love to travel and explore new places both
inside and outside of the country. We are so excited to have a new little
one join us in our travels and activities!
Our families are both large, with Kim being the oldest of six children and
Steve the youngest of four. Summer, Sailor, and Soldier love to play with
their nineteen cousins and they look forward to frequent family visits and
fun filled holidays. There is a sense of unity and love among the cousins,
aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We look forward to sharing that unity and
love with a new member of our growing family.
We recently moved from Orange County, California to Oldham County, Kentucky, trading the rolling blue waves of Laguna Beach for the rolling green hills of the Kentucky countryside. We enjoy four colorful seasons and beautiful horse farms where Kentucky Derby champions are bred and raised. Our home is spacious and warm with two puppies and five acres to explore. With top-ranked schools and a friendly community, we feel that this is a wonderful place to raise our growing family.
